Community Guidelines
MuLab exists so audiophiles can trust what they read. Every review here is anchored to a real signal chain and a shared scoring language — these guidelines protect that honesty.
1. What MuLab is for
MuLab is a place to share honest, reproducible listening impressions. Describe what you actually heard, on the gear you actually used, so others can weigh your experience against their own. Strong opinions are welcome; dishonest ones are not.
2. Review integrity
- Describe your real chain. Post the setup you actually listened on. Don't invent chains or score gear you haven't heard.
- Disclose affiliations. If you received a product for free, were paid, work for a brand or retailer, or have any other material connection — say so clearly in the review.
- No astroturfing. Fake reviews, vote manipulation, coordinated brigading of a product (positive or negative), and undisclosed promotional accounts will be removed.
- Score in good faith. The hexagon is a shared language — don't max or zero a product to fight a brand war.
3. Be respectful
- Critique gear, not people. Disagreeing about sound is the point of MuLab; attacking the listener is not.
- No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind.
- No doxxing — never publish someone's personal information.
- Newcomers with entry-level gear deserve the same respect as veterans with summit-fi racks.
4. Prohibited content
- Spam, repetitive self-promotion, or irrelevant advertising;
- Sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise NSFW material;
- Illegal content or activity, including promotion of counterfeit or stolen gear;
- Scams, phishing, or luring users into off-platform deals;
- Content that infringes others' copyright or trademarks;
- Malware, exploits, or attempts to disrupt the Service.
5. Reporting & blocking
- Every post, comment, and profile has a Report option — use it when you see something that breaks these rules. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
- You can block any user to stop seeing their content and prevent them from interacting with you.
- For urgent issues, email info@mulab.in.
6. Enforcement & appeals
Depending on severity and history, violations may be handled in the following ways:
- Content removal — the offending post or comment is taken down directly.
- Temporary suspension — repeated or serious violations pause your account.
- Permanent ban — severe or persistent abuse ends your access.
Severe violations (e.g. threats, doxxing, scams) may go straight to suspension or ban. If you believe we got it wrong, appeal by emailing info@mulab.in within 30 days — a human will re-review the decision.
7. Part of the Terms
These guidelines form part of the MuLab Terms of Service. For how we handle your data, see the Privacy Policy. We may update these guidelines as the community grows; material changes will be announced in the app.
